Protest Held Outside Indio Border Patrol Facility Over Immigration Practices

Faith leaders, community advocates, and families gathered outside the Border Patrol facility in Indio this morning, voicing concerns over immigration operations in the Coachella Valley.

The protest was organized by Inland Congregations United for Change and the UFW Foundation. Participants are demanding more transparency regarding cases involving missing and separated families.

Protesters also criticized what they describe as inhumane treatment of migrants, calling on both local and federal authorities to “act with justice, dignity, and compassion.”

Organizers say their goal is to bring attention to the human impact of immigration policies while pressing for better oversight and clearer communication from immigration agencies.

NBC Palm Springs reporter Alondra Campos will have more on this story during tonight’s newscasts at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
