Three Deputies Killed in Explosion at Los Angeles Sheriff’s Biscailuz Training Center
We have breaking news out of Los Angeles. Authorities confirm that three sheriff’s deputies were killed following an explosion early Thursday morning at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Biscailuz Training Center.
The blast was reported just before 7:30 a.m. at the training facility located in East Los Angeles. According to reports, the deputies involved were part of the department’s arson explosive detail.
One additional person was hospitalized with injuries related to the explosion. The extent of those injuries has not been released.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Kristi Noem has been informed and is working closely with state and federal law enforcement agencies as the investigation develops.
The cause of the explosion has not been confirmed, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is expected to release further details as they become available.
