“Desert Fireworks Under Clear, Warm Skies: Coachella Valley’s July 4 Outlook”

Happy Thursday, Coachella Valley! It’s hard to believe we’re already counting down to July 4, but the desert is more than ready to celebrate—and Mother Nature is cooperating in style.

Perfect fireworks setup
If you’ve circled Agua Caliente Casino’s legendary fireworks display on your calendar, you can lock in your plans with confidence. At 9 p.m. when the show ignites, the thermometer should hover around 97 °F—warm enough for tank tops and shorts, but comfortably dry with virtually no wind. Thanks to a stable air mass overhead, the evening sky will stay crystal clear, letting every burst of red, white, and blue shine bright.

Regional split in viewing conditions
While the West Coast enjoys postcard-perfect skies, folks farther east won’t be as lucky. A storm system sweeping across Colorado will blanket parts of the state in clouds and showers, dimming the holiday sparkle there. Here at home, we dodge that disturbance entirely, keeping our desert skies pristine for the big show.

Heating up into the weekend
Thursday’s high of 104 °F sits right on the seasonal mark, but change is already on the horizon. By Friday, a building ridge of high pressure will begin cranking up the heat: highs will push to 107–109 °F on Friday and Saturday, flirt with 110 °F Sunday, and likely top out near 111 °F on Monday. Nights stay warm, with lows in the lower 80s.

Looking ahead
The broader 7-day forecast keeps us just under 110 °F through Saturday, then nudges us back into triple-digit territory north of 110 °F early next week. Hydrate often, seek shade during the afternoon peak, and remember that asphalt and playground equipment heat quickly under this kind of sun.

Bottom line? Get ready for a classic desert Fourth: warm, dry, and dazzling—just the way we like it. Enjoy the show, stay safe, and happy Independence Day, Coachella Valley!
