Local Health Group Hosts Free HIV Prevention Panel

DAP Health is bringing together healthcare experts and community members for "Next Gen Care: Innovations in HIV Prevention," a free panel discussion Tuesday, July 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hunters Nightclub on Arenas Road in Palm Springs.

The event, sponsored by Gilead Sciences, will explore the latest advancements in HIV prevention and care with a moderated discussion between DAP Health's Director of Specialty Programs Dr. Jason Halperin and Gilead Sciences representatives Thomas Deem and Oscar Mariena.

Local drag personality Miss Rusty Waters will host the evening, which aims to highlight cutting-edge prevention strategies transforming HIV care and management. The panel format allows attendees to hear directly from field leaders and ask questions about how these innovations make prevention and care more accessible.

"This event represents our ongoing commitment to reducing barriers to care and empowering individuals with the latest knowledge and tools," said Dr. Halperin. "By creating spaces for education and open conversation surrounding both HIV care and prevention, we move closer to ending the epidemic."

Light refreshments will be served at the free event, though space is limited. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP in advance through DAP Health's website.
