Starbucks Announces Return of Pumpkin Spice Latte This August — Even as Summer Sizzles On

  • Though there’s still plenty of summer left — especially in places like the Valley, where triple-digit heat lingers well into September — Starbucks is already shifting into fall mode. The coffee giant has announced that its iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte will return to menus nationwide on August 26.

This seasonal favorite, affectionately known as the PSL, has developed a near-cult following since its debut in 2003. Despite the early launch date and hot weather — yes, it’ll still be 100-plus degrees in many areas — fans can start sipping their favorite fall flavors before Labor Day even hits.

The 2025 fall lineup doesn’t stop at the classic latte. Starbucks is also bringing back the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte, perfect for those who want a cool twist on the seasonal spice. A new offering, the Pecan Crunch Oat Milk Latte, adds a nutty, dairy-free option to the mix.

So while it might not feel like fall just yet, Starbucks is ready to kick off the season early. Whether you prefer your pumpkin spice hot or iced, mark August 26 on your calendar — sweater weather or not, it’s officially pumpkin spice season.
