Indian Canyon Bridge Project Prompts New Sewer Installation and Lane Closure

Starting Tuesday, the City of Palm Springs will begin installing a new sewer pipeline as part of the ongoing Indian Canyon Bridge widening and improvement project. The work will take place along North Indian Canyon Drive, stretching from just south of Palm Springs Station Road to West Tramview Road.

As part of the project, the number one northbound lane will be closed between West Tramview Road and Sunrise Parkway. This lane closure will remain in effect through Friday.

The sewer installation and related infrastructure upgrades are expected to continue through May 2026. City officials are advising motorists to use alternate routes to avoid potential traffic congestion in the area.

Drivers should plan ahead and expect possible delays during construction hours.
