Pete Davidson Says Becoming a Dad Has Always Been His Dream

Comedian and actor Pete Davidson says he’s thrilled to be starting a new chapter—fatherhood.

Davidson confirmed he is expecting his first child with his partner, model and actress Elsie Hewitt, during the New York premiere of his new horror film The Home this week.

“I’m very lucky and very, very happy,” Davidson told E! News, calling fatherhood a lifelong dream. “Everybody’s just been super excited for me, because they know it’s been my dream.”

Hewitt announced the news last week on Instagram, sharing a sonogram photo and video alongside Davidson. The couple has received an outpouring of support from friends, including fellow SNL stars Adam Sandler and Colin Jost.

“They all just have been like, ‘You’re going to be great at this. It’s the best thing you’ll ever do in your life.’ Sandler gave me some great advice,” Davidson said.

The couple went public with their relationship in March.

Davidson has previously been in the spotlight for dating celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande. In a February interview with Page Six, he addressed the attention, saying, “Everyone is dating everyone and it’s Hollywood. But because I’m ugly, they wrote about me.”

Now, Davidson seems to be embracing this new phase of life with positivity and gratitude.
