Indio Police 911 Service Restored After Morning Outage

Indio residents temporarily could not reach emergency services through 911 earlier this morning due to a system outage affecting the police department and other local agencies.

The Indio Police Department confirmed their 911 system experienced problems though no details on what specifically was wrong. During the outage, residents were directed to call 760-391-4051 for emergencies if they received a busy signal on 911.

The outage impacted multiple local agencies beyond just Indio police. Normal 911 service is now fully operational.
