Jerry's Weather Jokes Hit Different on National Tell an Old Joke Day!

It's almost Friday, and you know what that means – time for another round of Hashtag Holiday Calendar and Pop Quiz with our beloved weatherman Jerry Steffen!

Thursday brought us a triple threat of quirky celebrations, and Jerry was ready with his arsenal of weather-themed dad jokes that had the morning crew groaning and grinning in equal measure.

National Tell an Old Joke Day Gets the Weather Treatment

Kicking off with National Tell an Old Joke Day, Jerry couldn't resist dusting off some meteorological gems from the weather department's comedy vault. His first offering? "What advisory would I give if it starts raining cats and dogs? Please don't step in a poodle!"

But wait, there's more! Jerry followed up with a cloud-related knee-slapper: "What does a cloud wear under its raincoat? Thunderwear!" The crew admitted they'd definitely be remembering that one – whether they wanted to or not.

Celebrating Connections and Drive-Thrus

Today's holiday lineup also featured National Cousin's Day (time to call those kids of your parents' siblings!) and National Drive-Thru Day.

Tequila Trivia Takes Center Stage

The real challenge came with International Tequila Day, featuring two music-themed questions that put everyone's pop culture knowledge to the test.

Question 1: How many times does the word "tequila" appear in the classic 1958 instrumental hit by The Champs?

Question 2: Which Pee-Wee Herman movie featured that memorable scene where he wins over a threatening biker gang by dancing to "Tequila" in white platform shoes?

Whether you're groaning at weather puns or testing your '80s movie knowledge, there's something wonderfully unpredictable about starting your day with Jerry and the NBC Palm Springs crew.
