Kesha Shares Emotional Moment After Cassie Ventura Sends Flowers Before MSG Concert

Kesha took a heartfelt pause during her Madison Square Garden performance Wednesday night to share a deeply emotional moment with her fans.

Following a powerful rendition of her song “Praying,” the singer told the audience that Cassie Ventura had sent her flowers backstage earlier that evening. “All of this love is not only for me,” Kesha said through tears. “It’s for anyone who survived anything they shouldn’t have had to survive.”

Ventura recently gained renewed public attention after video surfaced showing music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting her in 2016. In 2023, she filed a civil lawsuit against Combs, which was quickly settled. Combs has since been convicted of two federal counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and is awaiting sentencing.

Kesha, who publicly supported Ventura during Combs’ trial, had earlier changed a reference to him in her 2010 hit “Tik Tok.” She described Ventura on social media as “a beacon for every survivor.”

The moment at MSG also recalled Kesha’s own legal battles. She was embroiled in a long-running dispute with producer Dr. Luke, whom she accused in 2014 of emotional and sexual abuse. Though Dr. Luke denied all claims and countersued for defamation and breach of contract, both parties settled in 2023.

The show of solidarity between the two artists is resonating far beyond the stage, as both women continue to serve as public figures of resilience and healing within the music industry.
