Terry Bollea, better known to the world as Hulk Hogan, has died at the age of 71 after reportedly suffering cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home.

According to multiple reports, emergency crews responded early Thursday morning and transported the wrestling legend on a stretcher. Hogan was pronounced dead shortly after. The news was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by sources close to Hogan’s family.

The loss comes just weeks after Hogan underwent neck surgery. Despite reports earlier this month that he was in a coma, Hogan’s wife denied those claims at the time, stating that he was recovering and his heart was “strong.” Sadly, his condition took a turn, leading to Thursday’s fatal cardiac event.

Hulk Hogan rose to global stardom in the 1980s, becoming one of professional wrestling’s most iconic figures. Known for his charisma, bandana, and catchphrases like “Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?”, Hogan helped propel the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) into mainstream popularity. He headlined multiple WrestleMania events and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice—once individually and again as a member of the nWo.

Outside the ring, Hogan also gained fame through television and film, including his reality series Hogan Knows Best. He became a household name not just for his in-ring accolades, but for the cultural impact he made over decades.

Tributes from fellow wrestlers, fans, and celebrities have flooded social media, reflecting on his legacy as a trailblazer who defined an era of sports entertainment.
