Palm Desert Server Gets $1,000 Surprise Tip

NBC Palm Springs, in partnership with Toyota and Honda of the Desert, surprised Tracy, a 16-year veteran server at Sherman's Deli on Country Club Drive in Palm Desert, with a $1,000 tip this week as part of our ongoing "Server of the Week" program.

Tracy was selected after receiving multiple nominations from community members who frequent the establishment. She became emotional upon learning of the surprise during our visit to the restaurant, which is known as a local institution in the Valley.

The deli has served multiple generations of families, with some customers bringing their children and grandchildren to the longtime establishment.

Our weekly program continues to recognize restaurant staff throughout the Valley for their dedication to customer service and community involvement.
