Road Work Alerts: Palm Springs and La Quinta Prepare for Lane Closures Next Week
Drivers in Palm Springs and La Quinta will want to plan ahead for road work projects that could cause traffic delays next week.
In Palm Springs, the city’s ongoing pavement rehabilitation project will focus on the intersection of Dinah Shore Drive and Lawrence Crossley Road, including parts of the Dinah Shore Bridge. The work begins Monday, July 28, and is expected to wrap up the following day. During this period, traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions through the construction zone.
In La Quinta, a major phase of the Highway 111 Pavement Rehabilitation Project starts Wednesday, July 30. The intersection at Washington Street will be closed as crews work on improvements. Nearby lanes will remain open, but only for business access.
Traffic experts urge drivers to expect delays and to plan alternate routes when possible. Residents can stay informed about Highway 111 project updates and closures by signing up for alerts at LQHighway111.com.
