Miller Lite Marks 50th Anniversary with Free Beer Giveaway

Miller Lite will distribute 50,000 free beers to mark its 50th anniversary on August 1st, which coincides with International Beer Day.

The promotion will take place at nearly 500 bars across more than a dozen states. The company will also host a New Year's Eve-style "beer drop" event at its Milwaukee brewery.

The anniversary celebration began earlier this summer with the release of limited-edition gold cans. Miller Lite has also partnered with "Saturday Night Live" cast member Marcello Hernandez as part of the campaign.
