Walter Clark Legal Group Donates 1,500 Backpacks to Coachella Valley Students Ahead of New School Year

The start of a new school year is bringing more than just excitement—it's bringing essential support for students across the Coachella Valley. Thanks to a generous donation from the Walter Clark Legal Group, 1,500 backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed to students in the Coachella Valley Unified School District.

The major giveaway event is scheduled for August 19 at Coachella Valley High School and will be open to the entire community, including families from nearby cities like Palm Springs.

Earlier last week, another giveaway took place at the Cathedral City Community Amphitheater, where students received 500 backpacks and an additional 300 school supply kits. The effort was made possible through donations to the nonprofit arm of the union, supported by local community partners.

“I reached out to principals and asked what our kids really need,” said one organizer. “They said school supplies. Many parents are working hard just to make ends meet, and they can’t always afford the basics.”

The efforts aim to ease financial pressure on families and ensure that every student starts the year ready to learn. Residents are encouraged to check with their local school districts and city governments for upcoming supply distribution events in their area.
