Liam Neeson Stars in The Naked Gun Reboot as Detective Frank Drebin Jr.

The Naked Gun is back, with Liam Neeson stepping into the lead role as Detective Frank Drebin Jr. This new take on the classic spoof series brings the over-the-top comedy style that made the original films cult favorites.

Directed and co-written by Akiva Schaffer, the film aims to recapture the unique tone of the originals, with actors playing their roles straight while the outrageous humor unfolds around them. Schaffer described the project as “all jokes all the time” but performed as if it were a serious movie.

Neeson praised working with co-star Pamela Anderson, saying the pair developed an easy, natural chemistry on screen. The story follows Drebin Jr. as he tackles a wild case, with plenty of ridiculous situations along the way.

“I was honored to be cast in a film like this,” Neeson said. “I thought I’d get maybe three or four lines as a small character, but to be in the entire film and really play with the comedy was amazing.”

With a mix of classic slapstick and fresh energy, the Naked Gun reboot promises to deliver silly, joyful entertainment to a new generation of fans.
