Top Honors for Rattler Softball

Rancho Mirage, CA – Rancho Mirage High School's historic softball season continues to bring in accolades, even after the final pitch.

Star pitcher and team captain Anelisa Garcia has been named CIF Division 7 Player of the Year after smashing a school-record seven home runs—all while leading the Rattlers to their first-ever state championship game appearance.

“It hasn’t fully clicked for me yet,” Garcia said. “Everyone around me is shocked, but I’m still processing it.”

Her coach, Abraham Aparicio, was also honored as CIF Division 7 Coach of the Year for guiding the young squad through a season filled with challenges and growth.

As a capstone to their achievements, Garcia and Aparicio will be honored at Angel Stadium on Monday, August 4 during a special CIF ceremony.
