Pet of the Week: Ronin Seeks Active Home
Jack Hagerman from Palm Springs Animal Shelter joined NBC Palm Springs this week with Ronin, a sweet Malinois-Shepherd mix looking for his forever home.
Initially shy when he arrived at the shelter, Ronin has blossomed into a social, friendly dog who loves people and gets along well with other dogs.
This active breed would thrive with owners who enjoy running and outdoor activities.
Other Buddies At The Shelter
The shelter is currently caring for several other adoptable animals, including Stripes, a 20-pound "office cat" who prefers human and canine company over other cats; Bane, a gentle 100-pound mixed breed; and Hoagie, a well-trained one-year-old Rottweiler mix who knows basic commands.
Shelter Updates
Due to overcrowding, animals are staying longer than ideal. The shelter has temporarily suspended cat and kitten intake for two weeks to address a manageable viral outbreak affecting the feline population. Foster families are especially needed during the summer months when fewer people are available to help.
To adopt Ronin or other animals, or to inquire about fostering opportunities, contact the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. Fostering provides crucial space for incoming animals and helps save more lives.
