WellBe Health Celebrates One Year of Transforming Senior Care in La Quinta

It’s been one year since WellBe Health opened its doors in La Quinta, and the center is celebrating more than just time passed—it's celebrating lives improved. Serving as a vital lifeline to seniors throughout the Coachella Valley, the center has become a hub for comprehensive, compassionate care. From medical services to community connection, WellBe Health offers seniors more than just treatment—it offers dignity, independence, and a sense of belonging. “I'm just happy to be part of a community serving older adults with complex needs,” one team member shared. “One year is a fantastic milestone and a testament to the success this team has had in truly caring for those who need our help.”

The center partners with several local organizations, including the Cathedral City Senior Center. According to city officials, the partnership has changed lives. “They pick our elderly up, bring them here for doctors, dentists, eye doctors, and for socializing,” said one city leader. “They have lunch, engage with others, and are brought home—all at zero out-of-pocket cost. Who can do that? They can.”

La Quinta Mayor Linda Evans echoed the gratitude, having supported the project from the beginning. “The growth has been very impressive,” she said. “WellBe Health clearly recognized the need in our area to provide all-inclusive

care for our seniors. Their success proves that this model works—and that the need is ongoing.”

What sets WellBe Health apart is its personalized, participant-centered approach. Seniors are not referred to as "patients" but rather "participants"—a term that reinforces dignity and involvement. For participant Donna Palavos, the experience has been nothing short of life-changing.

“It’s amazing to walk in and be greeted by name,” Palavos said. “Someone even remembers how I take my coffee. And when I had terrible pain recently, I didn’t have to wait weeks. They got me help right away.”

And the services don’t stop at the center's front doors. WellBe Health offers home transportation, ensuring seniors without access to reliable transit still get the care they need.

As the center marks its first year, it’s clear the impact goes far beyond the walls of the building. It’s a model of what senior care can—and should—look like: holistic, accessible, and rooted in compassion.
