Coachella Valley Rescue Mission Food Pantry Faces Critical Shortage Amid Surge in Demand

The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission's food pantry is severely depleted following a 200% increase in families seeking assistance in recent weeks, according to Executive Director Amanda Galindo.

The mission distributes approximately 175 food boxes to local families each Wednesday from their location at 47470 Van Buren Street in Indio. Rising demand from food-insecure families has left supplies dangerously low.

The organization is requesting donations of pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned meat, mac and cheese, ramen, canned vegetables and fruits, rice, beans, cookies, crackers, granola bars, snack packs, and Hamburger Helper.

Food donations can be delivered directly to the Indio facility. Financial contributions are accepted at CVRM.org.
