Surf-Inspired Yoga in Palm Desert Combines Wellness and Dog Rescue on August 2

On Saturday, August 2, Myokinetix in Palm Desert hosted a special surf-inspired yoga flow that combined fitness, mindfulness, and community giving. The morning event included yoga, a restorative sound bath, guided meditation, and time with rescue dogs.

All donations from the event went directly to Rescue Life, a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving stray and abandoned dogs. Participants enjoyed a morning focused on health and wellness while also helping animals in need.

“It’s a big draw,” an event organizer said. “People come, they get the health and wellness for themselves, and then they know they’re doing something good for the community. That could mean rescuing animals, buying a bag of dog food, or helping cover a surgery for an animal. It’s also about bringing awareness to the community and providing a safe place for people to land.”
