Road Work Continues on East Sunny Dunes Road for Bridge Project

Construction crews are continuing work on the South Palm Canyon Bridge project along East Sunny Dunes Road in Palm Springs, with daily lane closures and traffic restrictions in effect through the work week.

According to the city, crews are working Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., implementing traffic control measures that include closing East Sunny Dunes Road from South Palm Canyon Drive to South Belardo Road.

The right turn lane from southbound South Palm Canyon Drive onto East Sunny Dunes Road is also closed during construction hours.

Despite the road closure, local businesses in the affected area remain open and accessible to customers via South Palm Canyon Drive. The accessible businesses include Desert Hand Car Wash, Rocky's Pawn Shop, Tony's Grill & Bar, and Allen Tire Company.
