An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Wednesday, August 6, 2025!

Advisories related to the excessive heat have been posted for a large area of the Southwest through the end of the workweek. An Extreme Heat Warning has been posted for the Coachella Valley through Friday when midday high temperatures will reside in the middle-to-upper one-teens.

Surface moisture remains dry today and tomorrow as middle-of-the-day relative humidity falls into the single-digits. Some humidity may be felt this weekend.

Also -- because of wildfires in the area -- an Air Quality Alert has been posted through this evening.
