We Team Up With Palm Springs Animal Shelter For Clear the Shelters Adoption Event

The Palm Springs Animal Shelter is hosting its annual Clear the Shelters adoption event August 16-17, and we at NBC Palm Springs are proud to take part.

The two-day event addresses a critical overcrowding situation at the shelter, where kennels currently house two to three dogs each due to over-capacity conditions. The shelter reports particular challenges with larger dog adoptions.

All adoption fees will be waived during the event, funded by donations from Coachella Valley community members. Both cats and dogs will be available for adoption.

To help sweeten this deal, adopters will receive two tickets to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens and an adoption package from Tailwaggers Pet Supply Store.

The event will take place at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter during regular operating hours. If you are interested in adopting, now is the perfect time to swing by the shelter and take home a lovable furry friend.
