Indio Promotes Free Family Friendly Events For National Family Month

The City of Indio continues its roster of free family events throughout August, offering residents dining, entertainment, and movie options at regular intervals.

Food Truck Fridays bring rotating vendors to downtown Indio every Friday from 5-10 PM at the intersection of Town Street and Bliss Avenue. The remaining August dates are the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Residents can check the event's Instagram account for weekly vendor lineups and themed nights.

Second Saturdays present live music at Center Stage (82881 Miles Ave) on the second Saturday of each month from 7-9:30 PM. The August 9 show features local band Leanna & The Free Agents. Papa Headz provides free burgers to the first 100 attendees at each concert.

Movie Nights screen family films monthly at Center Stage starting at 7 PM. The next showing is Thursday, August 14, featuring "The Sandlot." Papa Headz also offers free burgers to the first 100 children, while all attendees receive complimentary popcorn. Organizers recommend bringing blankets and lawn chairs.
