An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Saturday, August 9, 2025!

That Extreme Heat Warning over a large area of Southern California has been extended through Tuesday. This includes the Coachella Valley where high temperatures today will reside in the middle one-teens.

Also, a surge of surface moisture today will make  the weather conditions a bit more uncomfortable as dew points this afternoon hover around 60°.

Also — because of elevated amounts of ozone (smog) — much of SoCal remains under an Air Quality Alert through this evening. This advisory includes the Coachella Valley.

You can expect another day of mostly sunny skies on Sunday with Valley high temps once again in the middle one-teens.
