An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for August 11, 2025!

Heat advisories continue for a large area of the West Coast today as an upper-level ridge of high pressure plays a role in pushing inland area temperatures several degrees above normal.

This includes the Coachella Valley where an Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through Tuesday evening. You can expect midday highs in the middle one-teens both afternoons.

For those wind-prone areas in Southern California, you may experience occasional strong on-shore gusts during the late-afternoon/evening hours today, tomorrow and Wednesday.

And because middle-of-the-day dew points will hover in the 50s the next few days, you may feel a bit of humidity the next few days.

Skies will remain clear all week long.
