Kai the Deal Guy Highlights Free Thursday Nights at Palm Springs Art Museum

NBC Palm Springs’ Kai the Deal Guy is uncovering another local gem for those looking to save while enjoying the best of the desert. This time, he’s at the Palm Springs Art Museum, where every Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m., admission is completely free.

Funded by the City of Palm Springs, this program opens the museum’s galleries and exhibitions to everyone at no cost. Visitors say it’s one of the best deals in town, allowing them to experience luxury art without the expense. “I’m really glad that it’s free because I’m broke,” one guest shared with a laugh. “It makes viewing art accessible to everyone, even people who don’t have a lot of money.”

Luisa, the museum’s Chief Education and Community Engagement Officer, says the goal is to make the museum a place that everyone in the Coachella Valley and High Desert can call their own. “We really want the museum to be a place that everyone feels like is their home, and this is one of the ways we do that,” she explained.

Founded in 1938 as the Palm Springs Desert Museum, the venue has evolved into a cultural cornerstone, featuring dozens of galleries, sculpture gardens, a theater, and even a new restaurant. Guests say the Thursday night program is the perfect way to unwind, stroll through the exhibitions, and enjoy the ambiance without worrying about the price.

For those looking to take advantage of this deal, simply stop by the Palm Springs Art Museum on any Thursday evening between 5 and 8 p.m.
