Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade Returns for 61st Year In October

The annual Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade will take place Sunday, October 26th on El Paseo, marking the event's 61st year. This year's theme is "California Dreaming."

The parade is accepting entries across multiple categories. Golf cart floats can be entered for $99 each, with prizes awarded for the most creative designs. A classic car show will precede the parade, with the top three vehicles chosen by spectator voting receiving prizes. Classic car entries are limited to 50 participants at $35 per entry.

Marching bands and dance or cheer groups are also invited to participate in the parade.

The Palm Desert Rotary Club will host a pancake breakfast on parade day, with proceeds supporting youth programs in the Coachella Valley.

Registration is currently open for all parade categories. The event encourages participants to incorporate California themes and imagery into their entries.

Ran by the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce, the parade route will proceed down El Paseo, with classic cars leading the procession, followed by decorated golf carts and performance groups.
