Suspects Still at Large After Palm Desert Jewelry Store Smash-and-Grab

Authorities are continuing their search for multiple suspects who robbed Don Roberto Jewelers at The Shops in Palm Desert on Saturday afternoon, using hammers to smash display cases before fleeing with stolen merchandise.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department responded to the robbery call at 2:20 p.m. in the 72000 block of Highway 111. Deputies found that several masked suspects had broken open display cases and stolen an undisclosed amount of jewelry before escaping in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported during the incident. Social media video from the scene shows the suspects smashing cases and fleeing with large black trash bags containing stolen items.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
