Clear The Shelters Event This Weekend: Meet Some of The Adorable Pets Up For Adoption!

Our NBC Palm Springs Mary Strong introduces us to some of the adorable pets hoping to find their forever families at this weekend’s Clear the Shelter event at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

From playful puppies and cuddly kittens to loyal senior dogs and curious cats — there are hundreds of animals ready to give unconditional love.

Adoptions this weekend are completely free, thanks to the generous donations and sponsorships from members of our local community. It’s all part of a nationwide campaign to help animals in need find permanent homes.

Right now, the shelter is nearly 300% over capacity, putting immense strain on resources and staff. That means every adoption truly makes a difference — not only for the pet going home, but for the many others still waiting.

The Palm Springs Animal Shelter will open its doors early on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and again on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
