Jerry Steffen's Morning Quiz Gets Lizard-y on National Creamsicle Day

Weatherman Jerry Steffen may have admitted to oversleeping this Thursday morning, but he was wide awake for another entertaining round of Hashtag Holiday Calendar Pop Quiz, brought to you by One Coachella Valley.

August 14th, 2025 turned out to be quite the celebration day! Jerry kicked things off with National Creamsicle Day – that nostalgic treat that had both hosts wondering if you can still find those vanilla ice cream pops with sherbet coating anywhere these days. "When I was a kid, I used to eat those a lot," Jerry reminisced.

But the holiday fun didn't stop there. National Tattoo Removal Day provided some laughs about second marriages and unfortunate name choices, while National Love Your Bookshop Day sparked a conversation about "physical books" – because apparently that's what we call them now in our digital age.

The real surprise came with World Lizard Day. Jerry dropped a fascinating local fact: the Coachella Valley area has the highest indigenous lizard species richness in all of North America, with at least 33 species calling our desert home.
