New Horror Film "Shaman" Hits Valley Theaters

Our movie guy Manny got the scoop on the new supernatural horror flick "Shaman," now hitting theaters and streaming platforms.

The film tackles something fresh in the possession genre - a clash between Christian faith and indigenous spiritual beliefs. At the center is Elliott, a sick kid played by Jett Klyne, whose family's religious journey takes a dark turn when he starts exploring his new surroundings.

Manny chatted with Klyne about the wild filming experience. Shooting at high altitude was brutal - actors were literally gasping for air between takes during intense scenes. "You do the scene once and you're like, 'ooh, it's so much harder to breathe,'" Klyne revealed.

Elliott might not even want to be part of his family's spiritual journey but gets caught up in what filmmakers call "a battle of faith." When supernatural forces enter the picture, different belief systems collide in ways that promise genuine scares over cheap thrills.

Klyne and the cast hope audiences walk away with more than just jump scares - they want viewers to appreciate the deeper themes about faith, family, and the unexplained.

"Shaman" is playing now if you're ready for some faith-based frights.
