"Nobody 2" Sequel Brings More Action and Comedy to Theaters
Actor Bob Odenkirk returns in "Nobody 2," the sequel to the action-thriller that exceeded box office expectations despite releasing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The original film found success both in theaters and on premium video-on-demand platforms.
The sequel features Indonesian director Timo Tjahajanto, known primarily for dark horror films, who has increased both the comedy and action elements compared to the first installment. Tjahajanto's background in horror brings a different directorial perspective to the action-comedy franchise.
Sharon Stone joins the cast as the film's primary antagonist. Odenkirk personally reached out to Stone for the villain role, seeking to create what he describes as a "James Bond/Mission Impossible level film" for the sequel's climax.
The film maintains the original's premise of an ordinary family man who becomes an unlikely action hero, with the sequel expanding the scope of both humor and violence. The first "Nobody" establishes the character of Hutch, a suburban father who discovers his capacity for extraordinary violence when his family is threatened.
"Nobody 2" is currently playing in theaters across the Coachella Valley and nationwide.
