Around the Town: George Lopez at Spotlight 29, Splash House Weekend 2, and Clear the Shelters

Coming up Saturday the 16th at 8 p.m., comedy legend George Lopez takes the stage at Spotlight 29 Casino, bringing sharp wit, hilarious storytelling, and his signature style. It’s a one-night-only show fans won’t want to miss.

Splash House continues with Weekend 2 as three Palm Springs resorts — the Renaissance, The Saguaro, and the Riviera — transform into hubs of poolside parties, top-tier electronic music, and unbeatable vibes.

There’s also a cool way to help local animals. Tomorrow and Sunday, stop by Tutti Frutti on South Palm Canyon in downtown Palm Springs. Mention the Palm Springs Animal Shelter Fundraiser and 20% of your purchase will be donated to support the shelter. Pups are welcome, and they’ll get a free puppy cup.

And speaking of the shelter, Clear the Shelters is happening this weekend. Thanks to the generosity of the Coachella Valley community, all adoption fees are fully covered. Every adopter also receives two tickets to The Living Desert Zoo and an adoption pack from Tail Waggers. NBC Palm Springs will have coverage throughout the weekend.
