Palm Springs Animal Shelter Adopts Out 100 Pets During "Clear The Shelters" Event

The Palm Springs Animal Shelter's annual Clear the Shelters event concluded successfully this weekend, with 100 animals finding new homes. The two-day adoption event resulted in 35 dogs and 65 cats being adopted by local families.

The free adoption event, which ran Saturday and Sunday, was made possible by community sponsors who covered all adoption fees. The shelter had been operating over capacity with more than 200 cats and dogs in need of homes.

Families participated in outdoor meet-and-greet sessions to introduce potential pets to their current animals. New pet owners received swag bags containing treats, toys, and food, along with tickets to The Living Desert Zoo as part of the adoption package.
