Search for Missing 7-Month-Old Emmanuel Haro Intensifies
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department continues to search for 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, who has been missing since last Thursday. As days pass without answers, the case has captured national attention and sparked widespread concern across social media. The baby’s mother, Rebecca Haro, told authorities she was changing Emmanuel’s diaper in the parking lot outside a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa when she was suddenly assaulted and knocked unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she says Emmanuel was gone.
Rebecca's claim triggered an immediate response from law enforcement and media, but investigators now say that inconsistencies have emerged in her account. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Rebecca declined further questioning after being confronted about these discrepancies. Franco, a longtime neighbor of the Haros, expressed deep unease about the case. “As a father, this story haunts me,” he said. “You don’t want to imagine something like this."
Authorities have since conducted searches in both Yucaipa and nearby Cabazon, serving multiple search warrants at the Haro family residence. The investigation took another turn when it was revealed that Jake Haro, Emmanuel’s father, has a prior felony conviction for willful child cruelty dating back to 2018.
Despite public appeals from both Rebecca and Jake for their son’s safe return, suspicions have mounted. The Sheriff’s Department has not ruled out foul play and continues to pursue all leads.
The case remains open and active. Investigators are urging anyone with credible information to contact local authorities. Two hotline numbers have been provided for tips.
If you have any information related to the disappearance of Emmanuel Haro, please contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department immediately.
