An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Tuesday, August 19, 2025!

The Coachella Valley will be under lots of sunshine this afternoon with dew points around 40° and high temperatures just above 110°.

Excessive Heat advisories have been posted for a large area of the Southwest from Wednesday through Saturday. The Coachella Valley will experience highs in the middle one-teens all four afternoons.

With monsoonal moisture moving over Southern California later this week, the mountains surrounding the Coachella Valley may experience thunderstorms from Saturday through Tuesday.

Although the Valley will experience relatively dry air today and tomorrow, surface moisture will begin to climb beginning Thursday. Dew points will rise from around 40° today to above 60° on Friday. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
