Desert Recreation District to Maintain CV Link Under New Agreement with CVAG

The Desert Recreation District (DRD) has partnered with the Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) to handle day-to-day maintenance of CV Link, the valley’s 40-mile multi-use pathway. Under the agreement—announced last week and effective Monday—DRD staff will focus on cleanliness, safety checks, and user support for pedestrians, cyclists, and low-speed vehicles such as golf carts.

Responsibilities include routine litter removal, graffiti abatement, minor repairs, and reporting larger issues for prompt attention. The move is intended to improve consistency across the route and keep the corridor welcoming for commuters and recreational users alike.
