‘Ketamine Queen’ to Plead Guilty in Matthew Perry Case; Faces Up to 65 Years

A California woman known as the “Ketamine Queen” has agreed to plead guilty to federal drug charges in connection with Matthew Perry’s fatal overdose, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Jasveen Sangha, 42, of North Hollywood, will plead guilty to five counts: maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of ketamine distribution, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury. She is expected to formally enter the plea in the coming weeks and faces statutory maximum sentences totaling up to 65 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been announced.

Prosecutors say Sangha and co-defendant Erik Fleming sold 51 vials of ketamine in October 2023 that were provided to Perry’s live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, who injected Perry multiple times, including at least three shots on October 28—the day he died. After the death, Sangha allegedly urged Fleming via Signal to delete their messages.

Authorities note all four co-defendants— Iwamasa, Fleming, Dr. Mark Chavez, and Dr. Salvador Plasencia—have also pleaded guilty to related charges.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined Perry’s cause of death was the acute effects of ketamine, with contributing factors including drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine; the manner of death was ruled accident.
