Brush Fire Reported in La Quinta on Madison Street

A brush fire broke out this morning on Madison Street in La Quinta, according to the Riverside County incident report.

The fires began at 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 58. Officials report the blaze currently covers an area of 100x100 feet.

Riverside County Fire Department has dispatched a fire battalion chief and three engines to the scene. Fire officials estimate crews will remain on location until approximately noon.

The cause of the fires has not been determined. No injuries have been reported at this time.
