Cinema Diverse Film Festival Returns to Palm Springs for 18th Year
The Cinema Diverse Film Festival will return to Palm Springs next month, marking its 18th year of showcasing LGBTQ+ cinema from filmmakers around the world.
The festival is scheduled to run September 18-21 and September 25-28 at the Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs. The event features a combination of feature films and short films that highlight lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender stories and perspectives.
The festival aims to present stories that reflect the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals while also reaching audiences beyond the community.
The annual event brings together filmmakers, distributors, and other film industry professionals alongside local film enthusiasts. Festival passes are currently available for individual screenings or all-access options.

Palm Springs firefighters responded Thursday to a report of a person struck by lightning in the Chino Canyon area. The person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters also responded to a palm tree fire in Chino Canyon that officials say was caused by an apparent lightning strike.
