Temporary Palm Springs Library at Rimrock Plaza to Open August 25

The Palm Springs Library is preparing to welcome the community back with a temporary location at Rimrock Plaza.

Signs are now up at the new site, and library officials confirmed on social media that the location will officially open on Monday, August 25. All programs and services normally offered at the permanent library will be available at this temporary space, ensuring the public continues to have access to resources and activities.

The move comes as the city’s main library undergoes extensive renovations, a project expected to take until 2027. In the meantime, Rimrock Plaza will serve as the hub for library events, reading programs, and community gatherings.

Library leaders say they are excited to keep services available during the renovation period and encourage residents to visit the new location once it opens.
