An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Friday, August 22, 2025!

Heat advisories continue for large area of the Southwest, this includes the Coachella Valley where an Extreme Heat Warning has been posted through Saturday as high temperatures peak in the lower one-teens both afternoons.

Some monsoonal moisture will begin to move over Southern California today into the weekend with higher dew points forecast for early next work-week.

A couple of very isolated thunderstorms over area mountains are a possibility today, tomorrow and Sunday. But, it looks like we will see wider coverage of SoCal showers and t-storms on Monday and Tuesday while the best shot looks like Tuesday.

The Coachella Valley will experience a bit of humidity today through Monday with stickier conditions for your Tuesday and Wednesday.
