‘SNL’ Adds Five New Cast Members Ahead of Season 51 Premiere
“Saturday Night Live” is expanding its cast lineup as the sketch comedy show prepares for its 51st season.
NBC announced that five new performers will join as feature players: Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska.
Marshall is already a familiar face to viewers as part of the comedy trio “Please Don’t Destroy.” He has also been a staff writer for the show since 2021 and frequently appeared in filmed sketches.
Culhane, Patterson, and Slowikowska bring with them large online audiences, particularly on TikTok, where they are known for their comedic content. Slowikowska, who has nearly 700,000 followers, also appeared in a recurring role on FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows.” Culhane’s acting credits include roles in “The Sex Lives of College Girls” and “Heathers,” while Patterson will be seen in Netflix’s upcoming Kevin Hart-led comedy “72 Hours” and is already established as a stand-up comedian.
Brennan has performed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and is well known in comedy circles.
The new hires come after SNL confirmed last week that Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker, and Emil Wakim will not return for the new season.
Season 51 of “Saturday Night Live” premieres October 4.
