Palm Springs School Lockdown Lifted After Threat; Reunification Process Underway

A Palm Springs school was placed on lockdown Thursday after receiving an anonymous threat to its front office.

School officials said Palm Springs Police and the district’s security team immediately responded, sweeping the campus in an abundance of caution. Parents were notified that the campus was secured and that law enforcement was investigating.

By late afternoon, police confirmed the active threat had been cleared. Bomb-sniffing dogs were deployed around the campus perimeter to ensure student and staff safety.

As part of the safety protocol, parents arriving to pick up their children will be directed to designated areas on campus organized alphabetically by last name. Officials said the reunification process will begin once authorities provide full clearance.

School leaders thanked families for their patience and cooperation during the investigation, emphasizing that the safety of students and staff remains the top priority.
