Desert Charities Practice for Shark-Tank Style Pitch Contest
Palm Desert is set to host an annual competition this October that brings the energy of Shark Tank to the nonprofit world. The Desert Fast Pitch, presented by the RAP Foundation’s NPO Centric Program, will spotlight local nonprofits as they deliver powerful, three-minute pitches for the chance to secure significant grant funding.
The event isn’t just about impressing a panel of judges—it also empowers the audience to play a role in determining which organizations receive support. Both judges and attendees will have the opportunity to vote, ensuring that funding reflects both expert insight and community priorities.
To prepare for the main event, nonprofit representatives recently participated in a workshop designed to sharpen their presentations. The session allowed participants to refine their messaging, strengthen their delivery, and gain valuable feedback before stepping onto the big stage.
Organizers say the Desert Fast Pitch is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and the critical role nonprofits play in the Coachella Valley. By giving organizations a platform to share their stories, the event helps connect them with new supporters while channeling funding where it can make the greatest impact.
With high energy, big ideas, and life-changing missions on display, the Desert Fast Pitch promises to be one of Palm Desert’s most inspiring events this fall. NBC Palm Springs will be covering the Desert Fast Pitch event.
