FBI Offers $100,000 Reward in Fatal Shooting of Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk

Federal authorities are conducting a manhunt for the gunman who killed conservative activist Charlie Kirk at an event in Utah on Tuesday, with the FBI releasing photos of a person of interest and offering a substantial reward for information leading to an arrest.

The FBI's Salt Lake City office released images showing a college-aged individual walking up stairs, wearing dark jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt, black hat, and black sunglasses. Authorities have not identified the person or confirmed their involvement in the shooting.

During a press conference Wednesday, investigators revealed they recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the attack from a nearby wooded area, along with a footprint that may be connected to the case.

The FBI is offering up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of anyone responsible for Kirk's murder. Tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Vice President J.D. Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance are scheduled to visit Utah Wednesday to pay respects to Kirk's family.

Kirk was a prominent conservative commentator and founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative student organization.

The investigation remains active as federal agents work to identify and apprehend the suspect.
