Pet of the Week: Pru

Pru and her sister Phoebe are bonded siblings who recently recovered from a shelter virus that temporarily closed the facility. Thanks to dedicated foster care and medical attention over the past four months, both kittens are now healthy and ready for adoption. The shelter hopes to place them together as they've been raised as a pair and enjoy playing, snuggling, and growing up side by side.

Other adoptable animals featured:

• Maggie: 4-year-old female dog who prefers to be the only pet and does best in female-only households

• Bane: 100-pound, 4-year-old male dog who's house-trained, walks well on leash, and may be compatible with other dogs after proper introduction

Special Program Highlight: Dan also discussed Sammy's Circle, the shelter's pet bereavement support group that meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10 AM and on the third Thursday at 6 PM. This program provides a safe space for community members grieving the loss of beloved pets.
