Hashtag Holiday Calendar: Double Cheeseburgers, Dot Day, and a Hat-Themed Pop Quiz
The Hashtag Holiday Calendar and Pop Quiz, brought to you by One Coachella Valley, has a fun lineup of observances for Monday, September 15, 2025.
First up, it’s National Double Cheeseburger Day — the perfect excuse to add a little extra cheese to your burger. National Cheeseburger Day is still coming later this week on Thursday, September 18, but today it’s all about doubling up.
For those looking for something a little easier to prepare, it’s also National Cheese Toast Day. This simple snack features crispy toast topped with melted cheese — quick, classic, and satisfying.
Creativity gets the spotlight too. International Dot Day encourages children to take a first step in drawing by starting with just a dot. And National Make a Hat Day invites people to design and create their own headwear, whether it’s a cowboy hat, baseball cap, or fedora. Locally, the Hat Bar on El Paseo offers a hands-on way to celebrate by designing your own custom hat.
Today’s pop quiz questions kept the hat theme going:
In The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss, the mischievous cat brings a big red box into Sally and her brother’s house. What’s inside? The answer is “Things,” better known as Thing One and Thing Two.
The song You Can Leave Your Hat On was recorded by Joe Cocker in 1986 for his album Cocker and became iconic after being featured in Nine and a Half Weeks. Who wrote the song? The answer is Randy Newman.
From cheeseburgers and cheese toast to hats and dots, today’s holidays and trivia served up plenty of fun and laughs.
